Warm thoughts.... Surfing

On this warm and sunny colorado day i started day dreaming about my favorite surf waves. I am pretty limited to colorado but top 3 are

1. Ark numbers 1.5 when water is cranking

2. South Canyon wave when in (great eddy service)

3. M-Wave

3a. Big Sur (not in enough)

Happy Holidays boating community! Think snow

Fuzzy

All my favorite waves are on the slave. The warm water gives them an unfair advantage. But skookumchuck is way up there on the list too, as well as the ike's wave on the klamath in northern california, which was where we got married.

I Like demons drop - summer camping on the wave/hole with no one ever in the huge eddy that you can land a float plane in and a warm soak 1/4 mile away.

1. skookumchuck --- is my number 1. My first and only visit to the wave I was the only kayaker there and I felt like an explorer. With the ferry logistics, and boarder crossing, and weird vibes from the locals I was not expecting greatness. But once on the water I found it.

2. Pipeline --- on the Lochsa River Idaho. Big glassy gentle feel for at the right level.

3. For Colorado -- I like the all day wave on the Lower Ark. My Dad had so much stoke for that wave that we talk about it every time we drove past it. Which was often considering we skied Monarch in the winters. And we ate lunch there when paddling the park-dale section in the summers.

Fuzzy, I think you mean #10 at around 10k, that was going to make my list as well since I suck at playboating and it's so friendly for being a decent size. Can't beat that scenery and a big wave all to yourself (especially during a full moon).
