Wailua Falls 183 ft drop? Kauai First D

Anybody know if somebody dropped Wailua Falls a few weeks ago? My friends there called and said somebody was threatening to run it but was not sure if they went big. It is supposed to be 183 - 3ft shy of world record...kinda crazy to go that big and not even get the record! Wailua Falls is in this first D vid...Drevo and Cooper and doing squirt moves at the base. Aloha

Stookesberry and crew have been in HI recently. They got a 120' fall rainbow falls but I haven't heard anything about Wailua. If anyone was looking I'd be pretty confident it was them. Maybe they ran it but plan to keep it on the D/L until the next movie is about to come out?

Yeah I heard from somebody else they were over there for a month...lots of big drops to be had if it rains. And other full on first Ds but access is a big issue. Wondering what they paddled. Thanks for the link.

^ i liked the "#100 foot teacups" pic that Ben threw up, pretty impressive looking drops. he was also trying to goad forrest noble into trying something crazy (im assuming with little luck) with him in the Waimea Canyon area, pretty damn hilarious to watch him try to convince forrest via facebook posts....

that being said, i too am curious as to what they did. stookesberry and co seem like the right class to be hunting down rain fed jungle enclosed massive waterfalls....
