Nice video. Is that the worst of it in Westwater? Just got 14' raft this year. Looking for more places to raft. Have done Upper C Pump house to State Bridge several times. Getting old and water still dropping.
@Hawktoy, dancan demonstrated some good skills that makes it look easy, so don't be fooled... Ha ha! Empty your new boat put two paddlers at the front then go for it....this is a great flow to learn WW on and a fun level!
John Coker is the artist, I just picked it from YouTube's play list.
The 4000cfs level seems to be the most forgiving level on Westwater. I've not been on it lower, although I have 3 more trips this year and will see it lower, but I'm told that down around 2k and lower it gets tricky. And of course the teens are the most fun.
I think I know what I did wrong in SITM... I straightened out and pointed down the rapid line instead of making a couple of strong pulls across river to avoid Magnetic Wall... I will be the first to admit that it shocked me when I ended up there.
At these levels Skull isn't as intimidating as it is at higher flows. I was just wanting to make sure I missed the Death Hole... I was actually a little worried about that rock on the left, didn't know how much water was over the top of it.
