Vermont Early Season Edit.

Hi Folks,
I hope the paddling this Spring season has been stellar for all of you enthusiasts out there, and may Jah continue to bless us with stout flows.

Check out a highlight clip from the Poultney area. Rivers featured are the Poultney and New Haven.

Shout out to Cam Pall for the paddle, and the rest of the Green Mountain College crew.

Keep your stick on the ice,

Good song.

The paddling this Spring is kind of just starting still. So hopefully it will be stellar.

Looks like you have a pretty narrow grip on your paddle..? Especially your right hand. Maybe just the angle of the video tho

Thanks for the support guys! Interestingly, we just got an inch of snow and quite a bit of rain, so the VT American Whitewater page is lots of green and blue 8D. Matt, definitely a narrow grip, it is how I have been paddling since I started. Will widening my grip be advantageous?

@ Otterwolf,

First off GREAT username. I got a good chuckle imagining that creature.

The upper section of the Poultney River, featured first, is located in East Poultney, Vermont and the lower section of the Poultney, featured second, is located on the Vermont/New York boarder in the town of Fair Haven, Vermont. The put-in for that section is at the Vermont welcome center so you can grab a free coffee while setting shuttle down to Carver's Falls where the take-out is (check out the falls at the end of the run, 35+ foot waterfall with a class V lead-in, not my style ).

The last river featured is the ledges section of the New Haven River located in Bristol, Vermont. If it's up there is usually a crowd.

All of these sections are on American Whitewater if you want to check out the river descriptions.
