Upper Lake Creek Sunday

Anyone interested in one, maybe two laps on upper Lake on Sunday? Putting in at the tunnel and taking out above Toaster due to logs in/above the rapid and nothing downstream till a bad log jam/ledgehole, then Brain. I have one interested, but would like a few more as well. If it stays below 800 that is, I'm not comfy on it above that.

Josh

Upper is still quality at 1500. Whitewater isn't that bad either, eddies just come quicker.

I may go up Sunday if the water gets back up over 1200 or if they are pumping over 450 - 500 cfs. I just looked and they are sending about 350 - 400 cfs over right now.

Not sure if that is too high for you but 1200 or so is my min level for the upper..... If it stays low nimby and the boof in nimby is at the perfect level right now..

Thanks guys. I looked at it at 1200 last weekend and wasn't confident with a two person team. I'm not ready to make the jump from running it as high as 600 to 1200. I will be likely taking a lake creek virgin down who is a IV/IV+ boater, so I want it lower and more eddies, but it would be nice to have a larger group than two.

I am definitely in for a run on Lake Creek on sunday. I live in BV and need to stay local for the weekend, so I would love to go check it out. Please give me a call (kevin) @ 704-907-5029.

Josh,

Still uncertain for sure about the run on Sunday but sure do appreciate you thinking of my "virgin" hide! I'll give you a call tomorrow.

Not sure if I will have to work on sunday but if I were you guys I would hit it up. I was with 3 first timers last night who had a great time.. The level was 4.7' or about 950+ cfs on the lower guage...

Still plenty of eddies and most of the rocks were covered..

There might be a after work group going up tonight after 5... Not sure now but if we go tonight or sunday I will give you a call kuu.

So did anyone make it up there???

They are only pumpin 300 cfs so now it upper is in the range your crew is lookin for..

There are a few folks who want to go after work sometime before the end of the week and I would show a group down just about any night this week.. Kev I have your number in my phone so next time I go up I will give you a call..

Also unless you are in a solid class v crew - it is not a bad idea to have a guide on your first trip down.. Wood has moved around up there quite a bit..
