Union Street waves at 2600!

Wow, the Union Street waves in Denver are at 2600. Amazing. Must be some world class surfing going on. And real squirly eddies.

I'm sure there are better examples but its one of the best waves I've ever ridden in Colorado, ever. (Rumour has it Reed hit a double donkeyflip)

Went out for a lunch session today. Its AWESOME! Hawaii 5.0 is getting a big ass pile on it and its getting more retentive. My buddy flipped in the hole, and rolled twice and still stayed in the hole. The eddy service is more challenging and tiring, but dam its kick ass wave.

There is a nice surf wave on the fly the next the 2nd set down from 5.0 on the right. The last hole before the junkyard is nice and friendly and retentive at this level too. The last pocket wave by the junkyard is washing out at the current level.

Get it while it lasts. Its a lot of fun.

Ok, from a Union hater, all the bad things I said about Union, I take back...at this flow. 5-0 was a hoot and Hollywood at this level is entertaining. p.s. Any newbies intimidated by Golden should love Hollywood at this level, as it's easy in/out and has nothing else below it. If you're paddling at that level, you might want to walk to it, but it's a great spot to learn at this level.

I don't think Union at 2600 is a good place for a beginner. It's really squirlly water. And you don't want to be swept down some of those rocky drops--you probably won't be swept down the boat chute.

It is cool surfing.
