Man, that looks fun. Is it like that for all 20 miles? Any guesses on whether it has peaked and how long it will run?

The stuff shown in the video is from the lower canyon section, which harbors the best class IV on the run. The upper canyon has a short section of IV and the rest of it is II-III boogie water. It's a great run, but it's not what you see in the video for 20 miles. I'll defer the peak and how long it'll run to someone who knows it better as I haven't been here for a season yet - sorry.

Considering how cool/cold it has been here in the evenings it could run all the way until the first week in July but if it gets really hot too fast then mid -late june.

I've heard it called eye of the needle and 2nd mudslide...not sure what the official name is.

It has a pretty fun runout that isn't shown in the video, too...

That is Alamosa Bruce.
The "run-out" to Eye of the Needle is called Lucifer's, and if you get jacked in Eye, you could get killed in Lucifer's as the left channel is choked with strainers right now.
