Toutle river

Anybody done it? I got invited on a trip up there Sunday, taking a 14 foot Sotar SP. I'm going with someone who has run it before, will be my first time up there. Looks like wood is a common issue?

Wood, wood, wood

Lots of wood. Don't hit any blind corners without scouting. Unless the person you are boating with has run it very recently, I'd be darned careful. There's only one rapid of any significance --Hollywood Gorge. I didn't think it was worth the wood issues.

If you can wait till Dec or January I might wanna run it with ya. Too busy until then. Oh yeah, gotta be sunny Saturday or Sunday. I'd probably bring a 12' cat

Alright, I'll keep you posted when I go. I plan on doing the River rat run in December, might do the annual Sandy trip on new year's day. I typically go on Sundays, I work Saturdays regularly.

Lower White Salmon

A few friends did it last weekend. A few issues at Steelhead Falls, and they said lots of wood on the banks that will move.
