Now i'm no riot fan, but I do consider myself a conisure when it comes to kayak porn. This was posted awhile back on playak, and i find myself watching it over and over. so i figured i would spread the love for those of you who haven't seen it. Creekers beware, it's play boating and all know how most of you feel about watching that stuff. So just a heads up.
If we had waves that good in Denver, we would all be in to freestyle. Unfortunatly, the parks and natural freestyle in this city suck. I know you can loop at some levels, and blunt at others, but there isn't anything consistent, nor that quality.
This summer I had the pleasure of working in BV. Denver has three WWPs with multiple features at each. I think Golden has over 10? And not one of them is as good as the single feature of the BV hole. If I were rich I would scrap the WW parks here and start over.
Just imagine throwing big air loops on your lunch break everyday. That's how it should be.
I am with you man. There are so many boaters in this community and yet we have so many lame features. Question is.... on the front range what is the best location for a park (gradient and flow)? Confluence has good gradient for a feature and maybe even anough water? have you ever heard of that place called "the ditch" in New Mexico. I think its average flow is around 200 and you can loop in it. They use boards to choke the flow so that the feature can change to make it a left or right spinning hole. It looks kind of cool.
i tried to find some pictures on the web of this place but was unable sorry.
