The Rare High Water Taylor

Our little home play run is hitting awesome high levels. 1600 at Almont with 850 out of the Taylor reservoir. Most rapids are still class III but there's some big class IV too. Don't miss this if you love the Taylor. Lottis Creek Putin for kayaks but watch for a low bridge which we still got under at current levels. Don't be afraid to portage the bridge and remember that we have the right to float and the right to portage private property if needed for safety reasons. We've been taking out at South Bank but the middle Taylor from S Bank to 5 Mile ought to be good too. And don't forget the lower for easier rapids.

I lived in gunny 85-92, went back in mid 90's round 96 and ran taylor at epic flow. I use to cook at trough buddy was bartender and guided at scenic river tours with Matt Brown. We ran Lotis creek to airport hole at epic flow 96-98 cant remember but what a blast Todd's slot was a wash but Super big waves down Taylor soooo fun would recommend everyone run it at high water to put it on /off your river list thanks for great memories

can't help but give a shout out to the Taylor Park run also. At 755 right now. Long, busy, easy but will leave a smile on your face. One or two fences to watch out for. Lots of fun at this level

I've done as high as 1500 cfs. Lottis to S Bank becomes legit cl IV most of the way. It may happen again this year.

2000 at Almont 1250 out of the dam. Portaged a bridge at Crystal Creek Homeowners. Some of the group went under upsidedown and then rolled. Legendary flows on the Taylor.
