The mythical wave of horsetooth inlet lives looking for comrades

So I was riding my bike today by inlet bay when I came upon a wave I have only heard of in legend. Due to them pulling water into horsetooth the narrow inlet has created a massive wave that by inspection is perfect for a good surf when no other at this time exists. Due to a recently healed broken elbow I have had very limited seat time in my boat and am a little cautious about pursuing this solo. So if you are hungry for some boating lets go. I will be checking the buzz periodically. Or you can call/text me at 970-389-3951.

I used to live right there, and in my experience it's no m-wave.

It's super shallow. Fun wave, but not if you value your head and knuckles.

It's good right now. Surgy, and probably as padded as it's going to get. Still can hit rock in some spots if trying to throw ends.

We spent quite a bit of time there in the winter when I went to school up there. We even went in and did some eddy and stream bed modifications (ie we trundled boulders to where we thought they should go). I remember having a great time there. Couldn't throw ends, but could surf, spin, and new playboats may even be able to get a little hop on there.
Good memories....
