The Golden Rodeo Series is back

The Golden Rodeo Series is back, celebrating its 18th year! While there have been many disappointments this year in the front range paddling community, the Golden Rodeo Series will go on bigger better than ever. Nothing can stop us!!! Mark your calendars, June 19th will be the Classic Kayak Rodeo and June 26th will be the Downriver Races. We will be giving away TONS of SWAG. Stay tuned! Clear creek should still be way over your max flow come June 19, I would assume.

Riley won't be back from worlds until the 10th of July.

It should just be dropping in to your zone the following week!

Maybe consider doing it higher? It never gets very sticky and people are still rocking alligator toys through there at 1k. I would think it would be fine for all but rank beginners.

We could have had the event yesterday! If the water is to high we can just push the rodeo back, golden parks and rec will take care of us. I can't believe Riley went to compete in the worlds instead of the GCRS!!!!!!!

I don't do the rodeo over 1000 CFS because of any danger to competitors. Most beginners and intermediates get into the comp over over that level attempt a trick then get washed down river ending their ride. Below 1000 it's easier to catch the eddy and get back in the hole for another try.
