Boulder, CO – Mountain Paddle Surf invites all SUP’ers and interested individuals to attend ‘The Second Bragging Rights.’
Saturday, September 17th, will feature free demos and instructional clinics to the public. The race itself will incorporate an endurance race and the first ever SUP criterium and for fun we will be
hosting the World Championship SUP-UP–High-Jump competion. Women and men will race separately.
Local businesse...s and sponsors will have booths set up with info and giveaways for the public. Prior experience is helpful though not required; in fact, interested participants who can swim will be allowed to pay a small fee to reserve a loaner paddle, board, and PFD from Mountain Paddle Surf for the races. No fee will apply to demos or clinics.
The festivities will start at 8:30a.m. in Dream Cove and will proceed on a rolling schedule. All races will have a Men and Women’s division. The day’s first event is the endurance race beginning at 10:00 a.m. Racers will start in mass and be required to navigate through marked
buoys around the course.
Free clinics and demos will be scheduled between each race.
The Criterium will consist of a technical course designed to push
racers, stay close, and make several fast turns. There will be many surprises come race day.
We are proud to announce The SUP-UP High Jump World Championships, this event is as much fun to participate in as it is to watch.
