Stove Prairie Rd

For those that are like me and like to take the scenic foothills route to Poudre Gnarrows, the last stretch of Stove Prairie Rd. is completely washed out. I never got the memo. It would be nice if the construction crew posted a sign, you know, like 15 miles back, warning about it instead of 100 yards before it. This created some unpleasant backtracking for us. Forrest likes to take the interstate, which once again proves that disobeying the Do As Forrest Does modus operandi can be deleterious.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting; you saved me a bunch of time and frustration. I for sure would have made the same drive and backtrack. Too bad. I like the drive almost as much as the boating.

There is a small sign

The small sign states "Buckhorn road is closed at Pennock Pass road" or something like that. Just head east from that point down Rist Canyon. It drops you into Laporte.

you guys should look at Taft hill road through loveland. It doesnt take you to the gnarrows direct though, you have to go up the canyon, but its scenic and about 30 min faster than i25 and 40 min faster than stove prarie.

I thought I saw a crew of heavys loading up at the stevens parking on sunday, i figured that was you, nice and stompy eh!!!
