STOLEN! Habitat 80 and GEAR Gilman Gorge Wednesday 5/26

ALERT:

Our friend's kayak and gear was stolen last night (Wednesday 5/27, approximately 8:45 p.m.) near the GILMAN GORGE TAKE-OUT.

He went chasing after someone’s paddle; retrieved it, stashed his boat on the side of the river (RIVER LEFT near the highway). He hiked back up the river, to give the paddle to his buddy, when he came back to the spot of his kayak, it was gone….

The Following items were stolen:

Habitat 80 Red
Custom WOODY paddle (distinctive fiberglass repair on the blades)
Bomber Gear Skirt
616 Elbow Pads
FnA Helmet Dark Color (with River Betty Sticker)

Please keep an eye out for these items!!!

If you have any information on these items please contact CKS @[email protected], or call 888.265.2925 ext. 1 (all information will remain anonymous).

Please feel free to forward this information to anyone………

***bump***

I think it sould be pretty obvious when someone finds a woody paddle for sale for next to nothing. This community isn't that big and I feel sorry for the kayaker running class V in a stolen 'boat. Help Josh get his gear. The water just got turned on and he just lost most of his kit.

This doucher will certainly try to sell it. There were a couple of good suggestions on find stuff regionally or nationwide on Craigslist - I'd be searching for this stuff anywhere in the intermountain west if I were looking for my stolen stuff:

www.searchtempest.com

crazedlist.org : search craigslist like a madman

You might post a flyer up in a couple places. Try Mangos in Red Cliff and maybe a few places in Minturn (stop and rob, Turntable, Kirby's, Saloon).

That sucks to hear that.

Hey there. Just thought you should PM ross. My lady said that he was there at the take out and some crazy dude was chatting him up/tried to get into his boat and put on the river. Super confusing story from her but I hope this can help by putting you into contact with ross. You might already know ross but I hope this all works out well for you buddy.

PS. I hope this asshat gets what is coming to them....
