South Platte River info please

Taking a newbie out in an inflatable kayak for the first time, thinking of doing the Platte. We use to put in just prior to the confluence (behind Children's Museum) so we could do the little water shoot there. Is that still possible? Haven't been there since the museum was built, how do I access it?

Yes, it's still possible, but I'd suggest you wait until there's more water. Of course, if you look at it and think there's enough, then go for it. You can park and put-in just downstream of the Childrens Museum.
