so... Google Earth just blows now?

I just got back into using Google Earth after the winter off and all of the rivers and mountains and other layers are missing. Checked into the help forum and apparently they were removed as an enhancement to the software. Um, an enhancement? WTF.

It works fine for me. If I tilt the view angle, I can see mountains, and rivers are clearly visible through the satellite imaging. I assume I have the latest version, as I downloaded it a month or two ago.

I've never seen a river labeled either as long as I've been using it. If someone know of a way to do that, please let me know.

Google Maps

If you turn terrain view on it gives topo + river and peak names. From here you can click the earth view to get most but not all Google Earth functionality.

There used to be a layer for rivers and creeks and lakes and whatnot. Also one for property boundaries etc. I guess it was two years ago now that they removed the layers. Lame. The US National Forest Service layer is missing. Was in the Places of Interest category. - Google Earth Help
