Shoutout from Baghdad

A bored, depressed kayaker in Baghdad got a pretty kick ass package today. You guys outdid yourself!

The vids are sick -- LVM is always entertaining and the EJvids will help keep my head in the game. Thanks, Craw. I've sampled the metal and it rocks. I will spread it around to metal heads in the camp. I'll take some pictures with your Jackson stickers...maybe pop one on an Abrams, snap a pic and run away before the tankers jack me. Jackson will be the official whitewater kayak of the US Army.

ToddyG, the Tom Waits set is amazing so far and that column always cracks me up. Looking forward to chillin this evening with some green tea and Tom Waits.

Mike from did you know the package would arrive precisely when I ran out of shaving cream? Uncanny. The edibles are already gone.

Livingston...outstanding effort, bud. Looking forward to the books and the helo is getting busted out on Sunday. If it can generate enough thrust to lift my camcorder I may check out what's hapnin outside the wall. Also, that is some of the best goddam green tea I've ever had. Nice packing job, too.

Muchas grassyass buzzards. I can't wait to get home and party with yall, finally get in my boat again. We'll have a good time then.

Sometimes you eat the baar and sometimes -- well -- sometimes he eats you.

I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick "Americans" as their mascot. -Jack Handy

Right on BSOE. As I mentioned in my letter, although everyone is super stoked to be involved, Livingston deserves all the credit of getting it together. He is a good dude (terrible kayaker, but great as a swimming coach!).

Stay safe bro... Never met you, but stoked to get after when you get back home.

I am not kidding about that photo! If you can get that back to me, I will have that on the Jackson website in a heartbeat... Never knowing where it came from of course... HA

Oh yeah...That helecopter is f'n bad ass! I plan to get one for myself as well.

tea and toys

Just got your message. Was on a little Vacation last week.
Glad it all arrived safely. The heli takes some practice, but fortunately it is quite durable. Doesn't work too good outside and the wind often takes it for a ride... so don't take it outside in Bagdad cause you'll end up chasing it over fences and walls to retrieve it! Hope the goods help keep your sanity. Be safe,
