Shoshone worth it?

trying to muster up some motivation for some weekend fun....

thinking of a quick run down sho sho or westwater...

anyone think it is worth it, or just too dam cold?

supposed to be low 30's in glenwood, 38 in cisco.

is it spring yet?

Shoshone is still fun. I have been down a few times in the past couple weeks. Plenty of water but it is dumping snow here now.

Did Cross on a warm day and it was still really cold in the canyon. There were ice bumpers on the rocks. But it was kayaking which = always fun. I would go as long as it's not actually blowing snow.

sho-sho @1000 is fine is you are close. You can find fun moves to make, but low water Gore is better. I've done alot of snowy paddling in CO, but I'd say its winter. Only go paddling if its 40+ and sunny and the snow sucks. But if you are thinking of going, post and I will probably go with.

Cheers,
Josh

PS- I'll paddle Cross early season too.

Shoshone is at about the best play level it ever gets right now. Most of the canyon is in the sun between 11:00 - 2:00. I am waiting on my new Ronin then I will probably be out again.

it's slang for head...I started kayaking in Costa Rica and the guys at Rios called me "con la hupa" cuz I did everything upside down and rolled up at the bottom of rapids.
