I was, and had a nice drive to Bair ranch and back.

Are you sure Shoshone is closed? I attended the public information meeting last Monday and was told river traffic would not be allowed through the Grand avenue work area due to necessary overhead work deconstructing the pedestrian bridge through March 13th. No work is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday the 6th, therefore river traffic will be allowed. No closures are planned for Shoshone.

I imagine you could kayak all you want but you can't get off of I 70 with out moving some cones, not opposed to that idea but... So unless you Park at No name and carry your boat a couple miles you can't paddle Shoshone. It looks like they are staging the construction at Grizzly. There was a guy standing on the Grizzly off ramp and a big road closed sign.

Ugh. I forgot about the 2way traffic configuration while they repair the westbound lanes damaged from the rockslide. So, that makes sense that Shoshone access would be jacked too since it only has a westbound on ramp.

I pulled off a lap last week. It was definitely a grey area, but I didn't see anyone. Driving on I70 west was a very walking dead, a little dusty.
