Shipping a Paddle?

Paddle blade broke the other day. Gonna send it back for repairs. The company told me to package it myself to save some coin. Any suggestions or good ideas?

Go to a kayak shop and see if they have any cardboard boxes already shaped for one. I worked in a warehouse shipping paddles and we had boxes made specifically for it.
