sf clearwater, whats this level like?

Tried the golden on the sf earlier this spring @3200ish and decided i brought the wrong boat. spent most of the day checking the river out and ran a little way below chuck rollins. my friends were on a calubra and that didn't work out to well for them. I went a little farther solo then put my ego to the side and pulled out.

I tried it in my 13ft cat and wished I had my 15 footer, or 18 footer. thinking about trying it again tomorrow, friday the 7th. its at 1350cfs roughly.just wondering if anyone has done it at this flow in a cat. is it too low now for a cat? dont want to make the drive again if its too low. was hoping to get on around 2k but haven't been able to get into idaho since the last trip.if its too low is the n fork a better option right now?

I have a 13 ft. wildcat, a 15.5 ft panther and an 18 ft cougar. recommendations?
anyone want to meet up there friday?

I don't know for cats, but most kayakers would say 1300 is a great level. Not too low but not too high. I have seen a bunch of cats run it around 1800 and they all seemed to be having a good time.

Some friends ran it last weekend, and the one prior, at about this level. They liked it. 3200 on a cat? Yikes! They were on 14' wave destroyer and 16' maxxon cat.

It was definitely pretty crazy. We went over with the low expectations of actually getting it done. Had my companions used the raft and r2'd it instead of using the calubra like we originally planned I think we would have had better luck. And a bigger cat on my part would have helped. That shits crazy but I can't go all year without a retry

I'm pretty sure I won't be taking my 11' cat when I FINALLY get on it next year. 12.5' Legend for me, but that's a pretty big 12.5'. Tried over and over the last two years and could never hit it, and this year it is off my list. Not even Mickey Mouse for me, damn. It's petering out, without a rain event this is it. Most of my friends typically use 2000 as the top, and those that have done it at 2500 won't again. That's not to say it doesn't smooth out a bit higher, but I won't be trying those levels for a long time to come, if ever!
