went into the black boxes saturday & sunday at about 550 cfs. 3 portages total. one in the beginning of the 1st box at a boulder jumble, one at rockfall rapid, and one easy one later. the seal launch at rockfall was the spiciest part because the rapid was a bit too low to run. there is a rope in the the LZ of the seal launch that i presume canyoneer types use to get up the rock fall when there's no water. cutting the rope didn't look like it would make it better because it was tied off well under water.
a one day trip would be a long push at these flows. overnights are more fun anyway. the rapids in the 2nd box may need a small amount of creative scouting.
best of luck to the crew that put in yesterday with an inflatable. the rapids in the 2nd box are mostly narrow slots formed by rock falls. could get interesting with a raft.
