Salt River - Any clues?

With Salt season around the corner (we're 3 1/2 weeks out... STOKED!!!), is there an idea or does anyone know about changes down there due to the flood last week? Everyone in my group is wondering about it right now.

There were some changes in the road. I was down there last Saturday, and you cant cross Cibecue, unless you have a massive truck. And if you are able to cross Cibecue, then you will be stopped by a HUGE pile of drift wood that has taken out then entire road...it must be 200 yards long and 5 feet high. So the furthest you can make it (currently) is just before Cibecue. The road right before Cibecue has been washed down to it's bedrock, and is a massive pile of boulders. So, the alternative is Camp Two.

-As far as the run goes....i have no idea...rumor has it, that Cibecue Hole is back in and good to go.

Speaking of the Salt, is it true that you can't back your trailer up to river's edge and slide your raft off the trailer?

And Ethan, you might try PMing or calling HANSON, I think he made it down there after the peak.

Probably. I'm actually excited to be one of the first few trips to go through there (March 2nd launch). Should be interesting.

I'll PM HANSON if he doesn't chime in here. Thanks.

Floaty22 Returning to the Desert?!

Keep an eye on Floaty22 while your down there, I heard that last year he was propositioned by a pack of Salt River Havilinas, taken into the bush and violated in ways that are difficult to imagine, much less speak about on a public forum such as this. I would consider going into greater detail but you know, I don't want cosurfgod to get worried and bail on any trip he might have down there. A little beast love is just what cosurfgod needs to quiet him down. Storm11, You did not invite those guys on your trip I hope, it would be certain disaster.

Well Floaty22 is 'supposedly' coming, but who knows with that kid. He may choose to go injure some more unsuspecting Texans for cash as usual. But even if he is gonna come, I'm sure he and Sirosis will be busy swordfighting, so I wouldn't worry about it.
