Rubber pushers - help fund "Habitat" film

Hey All you rafters. Here's your chance to help fund some fellow rafters trying to finish a sweet film about the progression of rafting in the Pacific Northwest. They get NO funding if their goal is not met. Check out their promo video.

Both of these guys are super nice, too. I seem them on the Truss all the time, so don't think they are interlopers. This is a project of passion for them!

Many of the folks in this movie are friends and co-workers of mine. They are awesome people and I can't wait to see how the final edit comes out! There's at least one Buzzard in the promo above too....

these guys have to be kidding right? they are asking rafters for funding. of all the demographics you could appeal to, rafters are the most broke. sounds pretty desperate. maybe working hard, saving, and a little DIY attitude would help. or maybe they should take a cue from kayakers who make movies and get some sponsorships.

Are you kidding? Did you even listen to it? I personally think it is awesome they are turning to fellow boaters instead of sponsorships. Don't assume they are targeting rafters for their funding necessarily, I am the one who posted this and appealed to rafters, and have absolutely nothing to do with the film. Man if you can't bring stoke, just leave it at home.

Umm- in case you didn't notice- they HAVE done it all themselves until now. Who better to want to see a movie like this than other rafters? I know (and have worked with) one of the guys in the promo and he's a stand up guy in all ways. He isn't desperate- just passionate about his sport.

Not all rafters are so dirt poor that they wouldn't want to pony up 25 bucks for a sweet video of the sport they love.

False. Kayakers take the cake on that one. That's why they call them dirtbags. I can vouch for that, now that I'm one of them myself.

I think that rafting needs a film like this. Sure there are films about the Grand Canyon, but this is a different level completely. These guys are the real deal.

I was just up in Portland dirtbagging and sleeping on floors kayaking the whitewater up there till I cracked my boat in two places...

That being said, in my 9 days of whitewater up there I ran into one of the guys in the video on some run (no idea which one- the names all blurr together). The guy in the vid R2'd the run with us. They totally had their stuff together and went big. Flipped. Self-recovery of everything before we could even eddy out and help them. They weren't afraid of hitting the meat and playing hard.

In my opinion, they're the real deal.

I support what they're doing.
