River runners who are at least 18 years old and not already members of other trips launching in calendar year 2007 are eligible to apply. According the Park Service, the lottery application fee is $25 per lottery year; individuals who have already paid for a calendar year 2007 lottery can apply without being charged a second time.

The lottery is open to anyone without a launch in 2007, whether or not you applied for the initial lottery in October of this year.

According to the Park Service, applications will be accepted online at https://npspermits.us from 11/27/2006 through 4pm Arizona time on 12/4/2006.

If you need help submitting an application online or navigating the website, the National Park Service may be contacted via email at [email protected] or by calling
