That hole in 1.5 is a monster. We hit #s after ClearCreek and I thought I was badass in my creeker plowing through shit until that thing stopped me dead, sucked me in, and gave me a good ride. I'm not sure I'd have the cojones to get in that thing intentionally in my playboat.

All in all, #s was a blast but not difficult. I bet the gorge would be way more intense. Hope to get over there maybe this weekend.

Oh, yeah, and we didn't see one other group on the river the whole run. It was Sunday. Mid-afternoon. High water. WTF?

Two people in our group surfed 1.5 with playboats on Sunday. I did not surf it... too big and scary.

I put on at the end of Pine Creek rapid and soloed down to Number 5 on Saturday when it was at 2400. Good times. 1.5 didn't look too bad when I passed it and caught the left edge of the hole. The one in Number 4 was fun, at least in my Jefe. Kind of cheating, I know. I was too far river right on Number 5 to get a good look, but it looked it would have been an okay boof to me. Just a lot of good fun.

How was Clear Creek Ark? I was going to do it Saturday, but my buddy forgot his helmet and I've only done it once at a really low flow. Didn't feel like soloing it without knowing the run well, especially since I'm only an aspiring creek boater.
