Rockslide and Glenwood Grizzly to Glenwood...

Hey. Has anyone hit this run recently? Did the rockslides that hit I-70 change the river that much? I'm going soon with some friends, but they are less experienced and I don't want to surprise them with some crazy new class III rapid that wasn't there before. ^__^ Is it still a nice easy run?

is this a joke?

the rockslide was upsteam in the barrel springs section, specifically right next to the powerful and dangerous Upper Death/Kayaker's Nightmare/Cottonwood Falls. the stretches downstream are miles away. there are no new "scary class III" rapids, just the burly V+ that existed there before.

No joke. But they were asking and I haven't done the run yet this year, so I thought I'd ask.

And I didn't know exactly where the rockslide hit. thanks for the input though. Why the "scary class III" in quotes? Did I say that class III was scary? I don't think so. ^_^

Sweet. Thanks. I wanna do Shoshone soon too but not this time. good to know. Sounds like we've got a nice easy run. As long as everyone has drytops. we're probably good. It's supposed to rain too. thanks so much!
