RIo Alseseca

We had the oportunity to do a lot more boating including the rio alseseca which is an amazing creek in western veracruz. The runnable or I should say more runnable section is 265 feet per mile and it runs all year with the possible exception of april and may, and it wil be in for anyone making a trip in november or december. Its also right next to a road and has an easy walkable shuttle which is amazing to find in mexico. The sections above and below are between 400 and 500 feet per mile with 2 huge (80ft) falls and terminal holes, but it has been run. Anyway lots of pics and a story at www.futatrip.blogspot.com

Have a great trip

It's my first time on this message board, and I see this - excellent blog. Hope you have a great trip. Myself and some friends did a similar kind of boating trip in 2004, flying into the USA this week two years ago and finishing in Buenos Aires in July 2005.

Nicely pimped school bus. If my experience is anything to go by, you are going to have a fantastic time. Our escapades are on our website:
http://www.mananamanana.com/ (protected by idiot-filter, you'd be surprised how many people can't get past the first page).

If there's anything you need by way of beta, contacts, Guatemalan mechanics, etc., drop me an email.

Jim.
