Right to Float

Here in Lake City on the Lake Fork we are having some small landowner issues and we are thinking about doing another Right to Float in about a month and a half. I will keep posting when have more info.

I was a part of the previous RTF demonstration on The Lake Fork. It brought a lot of press to the issue and was a very positive experience. It is important to show that we have not forgotten about this issue. As it stands the Land owners believe they are winning the battle because most local outfitters have stopped using that stretch of the river. We need to continue to use and enjoy the upper section between The Gate and Red Bridge.

This river will have very short season this year so timing is important. Keep us informed of the best time to stage a Float.

That is defently true the landowners think that they have won due to no one boating the sections above redbridge. We would like to do a float on the town section through Valley View ranch and take out at high bridge as well with the Gate to Red Bridge. But due to the small take out at red bridge we cannot have too many people on the river there, but would defently do the Gate to Red Bridge section. We were thinking of getting a BLM access permit to have an after party at red bridge. but it will be kinda hard to figure out exact dates yet.
