Respect, please!

I think I'm usually pretty tolerant, but the Texan and gay threads of the past couple days were way out of line. Please check your attitude at the door, think twice before you post and insult others, and show some respect around here. I don't have time, nor do I have any desire, to moderate this board. This has always been self-policing space and I hope to keep it that way.

Thanks for listening,
The Management

Yo Frenchy !!! Good Work!!! And thank you for this great site.

But yes it's time people grow up. And this is a board about kayaking.
Let's keep it that way.

Thank you, Frenchy. Aparently some of these people don't get it and keep starting new threads to continue the ones you delete.

Prejudiced people suck. (That's not really a prejudiced statement, is it?)

It doesn't matter if they're from CO, TX or elsewhere. It doesn't matter if they ski or snowboard, if they kayak, canoe or raft (or tube, for that matter).

For those of you who are bashing the gay posts, don't forget, for every male gay couple, there are two more single women out there for you and me!

I thought that river rats were typically above this kind of behavior.

I think you have to say MALE gay couple for this math to work out.

Cure for the Friday blues...

Thanks again for listening and also for your feedback, both here and via email. I'll keep this post up for a little while longer.

Atom, I thought you were on the Grand? Wassup?

And to all you knuckleheads that have nothing better to do with your time than trash others online, please do yourself a favor and get outside a little more. Life's just too short and too good to waste any of it in front of the computer. Here's my answer to the blues, be safe:

Sorry, not sure which is the breakfast run. Were up around Nohkuloir and Grand Central yesterday. Conditions there were slabby, so we backed off the steeper couloirs. Best snow was on NW aspect at the end of the cirque. Overall, conditions in the alpine are variable. Our pits ranged from very reactive hard slabs to bomber snowpack. Found the dust layer but it was not reacting to taps or shears. Debris in pic above is from fresh cornace breaks which these seem to be a bit touchy right now. I'm thinking the pencil chutes tomorrow but will be getting there late as we have another mission to accomplish first. Hope to see you up there. Call me next time so we can hook up: 420.1275.
