Reports from the Crystal Drainage?

Crystal flows are dropping a bit faster than I expected. Is Yule still gonna be worthy this weekend? Punchbowls?

Looks like the Crystal Gorge could come into the runnable zone by Sunday. Any guesses on the wood situation in the inner?

Thanks for the beta!

TT

I am super interested in an inner wood report (whoever gets in there first, let us know) AND also a Pine Tree report. I haven't been in in a season or so since that huge tree was stuck in the lz of Pine. I'm hoping high flows this year have flushed everything clean.

I would guess that P-Bowls are pretty low... maybe beyond being worth the drive and hike. We did those and NF Crystal last weekend and both were as low as you'd want them. (see recent post on CKS blogspot for pics of what water levels looked like)

Not sure about Yule....

Bump...
Come on, anyone out there have any idea's about Yule? I am sure its on the low end, but is it too low to run. Granted you could probably chase a 5 gallon bucket of water down the rocks, it would be nice to have a respectable flow.

TT-I'm not going into the inner at ~400. 250 is scary enough for me.

Yule just gets sketchier at lower water, the lower it is the more prone to flipping on the slides, or going right on wall check, when we ran it, it was about as low as i would have wanted, i think the crystal was at 600. AS for the Gorge, we will probably run it around 300 or so so ill let you know how our trip goes, but Im sure someone else will run it before us. north fork and punchbowls are probably done.

Crystal Drops

We were over on the South Fork Crystal on Monday & Double Drop & Punch Bowls were still good to go. Running the section into Double Drop & down to portage for the Punches was very bony.

we ran yule years ago with the crystal flow about 420. yule was low, but sooo fun. i remember because we ran crystal gorge the next day, and it was high. at that flow, only 3 of the 15 boaters there went into the inner. only 2 came out with their boats...
