I have been doing the Pumphouse to Catamount trip ever year for the last 6 years and I am supposed to head up but the water flow is at 372cfs right now and not looking to get to much rise this weekend. Has anyone been up there recently and floated this section or in the past at this low of cfs. I will have a 13ft with gear and 4 people so will be weighed down a little. Is it still ok to run this low?
I floated Pumphouse to Rancho a few days ago at about 400 CFS in a 16'cat with 2 passengers and did not have any problems . it was defineately low in a lot of spots just barely skimming across low areas but makeable the wind was a bitch below radium in the flats at somepoints the wind was blowing us upstream faster than we had been traveling downstream all day. I have seen loaded boats floating all the stretches rancho down . statebridge down just not sure of two bridges to catamount ? hope this helps and hope the water comes up

i live at rancho. life sucks at <400cfs. from pumphouse to here still goes. below state bridge it widens and flattens out a bunch of times. i've never been down there below 700 or so. sounds like you got a heavy boat too. but with 4 people to help drag it around should be doable
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine. - Spicoli
Thanks for the info. I ended up grabbing the last permit and just gonna suck it up and make the drive out to Loma and do ruby horse thief canyon for 1 night cause its at 10,000 cfs and just sounds more enjoyable. Hope they start letting out more water at some point.
Floated Rancho to 2 Bridges Sunday. Flow was low (440), but doable in 14' no gear (could do an overnight) Piney flow was about 300 and made a difference. 2 Bridges take out makes that a great day trip for low flows.
