Pueblo WW Park

Anyone know if there's any water flow down at Pueblo? I'd like to take my son out and let him practice. I know this isn't exactly a common run for everyone, but I'm hoping someone here lives near there and knows what the water levels are like. Any help would be .

130 cfs is pretty low...very low. But it channels pretty well at most of the features...you'll still scrape through, but there's nice little eddy lines and big, deep eddy's for practicing rolls and such.

That's kind of what I'm hoping for. It doesn't need to be too heavy flow, but good for eddying-out and some roll practice. Rapids I'm not in need of, just some practice.

130cfs sounds REALLY low though. How did you get this number? I contacted Pueblo Waterworks and their Park Department and no one really seems to know.

Thanks for finding that! Height is good, but flow must be just dismal. Maybe I'll try Buena Vista instead.

I'd try Canon or Bighorn Canyon. Put in below Harvey Wallbanger, the pullout below Spikebuck rapid take out at Old Parkdale, river right 1/3 of mile upstream of Echo Canyon's lunch/put in/take out. The only class III is Shark's Tooth easily scouted from hwy 50 and portaged on the railroad tracks.

BV has been 185ish. Bumped up to 200 today. Still plenty of water for what you're talking about. In fact, its a great ELFing level right now.

Thank you--I'll try that.
Just want something we can run/practice, then portage back up and run again. BV is a pretty far drive and Pueblo only 45 minutes, but on a good drunk I could probably pee faster than 84 cfs.

Never done BV....but may have to. Thanks for everyone's replies!
