Pueblo Park is to low, where shoud i surf this week?

I have been surfing, boogie boarding, and bodysurfing in the pueblo kayak park. But it is only running at about 400cfs right now and is no fun.
so what i was wondering is if there was any surfable waves right now anywhere else in colorado. I dont mind the drive but i want to make sure there is enough flow before i go or even a wave.

peace and love

Hey Coby,

Parkdale is still running at a good rate and has a few good waves. Do you want to meet up with me sometime and surf? I have never tried to stand on a surf board in my life (in the ocean or river) so its probably going to be pretty ugly at first as I try to get the hang of it. Would you be willing to show me a few pointers to make the learning process less painful? haha

^ yeah, ive seen probably five or six different people out there surfing both of the gunny waves. i would think the the 2nd one probably wouldnt be that good because it has that weird roll in the tounge, but the 1st hole would probably be awesome. ummmmm otherwise....all day play in shoshone?

If you have the time and money the Pacific Ocean is not that far away. Colorado kayaking is over for me this year. I'm thinking about my winter surf trip now.

You can drive to Encinitas in about 20 hours. If you want get away from the crowds to surf all by yourself then go to central California south of Big Sur. If you want to surf GIANT waves all by yourself then wait until November and go to Eureka. Take an extra back band because you will break the one you have.
