Pueblo Chili Festival

The Pueblo Chili festival is this weekend Sept. 23rd, there is a freestyle rodeo at the whitewater park by downtown. It should be a great weekend the water should come up for the event. Registration is at 10 am and the event begins at 11 am and the water should be about 70 degrees. NICE! I Hope to meet new boater's there.

I think the deal is about 700cfs to 800 cfs, which is just enough to get a loop or other wave moves that require a deep plug for air.

And remember that you can bring your boat on Saturday (events are on Sunday) if you would like to just hang and paddle...plus there is all that awesome food, drink and music!

Not that I was going to make it anyway, but are you implying that the park is closed to the general river running public on sunday?

Dave,

No, that is not what I was implying. I was trying to let everyone know that while the events are on Sunday that folks can come and enjoy the park without competing on EITHER day.

Just come and have a great time! Paddle, eat some chile, (make sure to take home some roasted chiles as they are roasting them on site), have a beer or three, and enjoy the music and the Pueblo hospitality.

See You On The River (and in the beer tent!)
-Bryan
