POV - Ohanapecosh

Some footage of our run down the Ohanapecosh, one of the most pristine and beautiful rivers in the Pacific Northwest. It's always cools to meetup and camp with a bunch of paddlers who gather here in the summer when levels are good. Heck, there was even some folks from Germany this year!

Looks like some wood moved around in there. Did Elbow Room have wood? I was hoping to see some hero lines through Petrified. Makes me homesick, nice vid.

yeah some wood definilty moved around -- some for the better, some for the worse. No wood in Elbow Room, but I still don't run that one, a little to junky for my taste.

Regarding Petrified, about half the group ran it the first day, with good results except for one. Basically, a boater got trapped in the second hole, which required 3 people on a rope to pull him out. Afterwards his boat got worked for another 5 minutes -- I thought we were going to have to live-bait it. Last year when I was there, a very good paddler, and former Olympic Slalom Team member, had his first swim in 25 years out of the top hole! The left side is definitely a hero line...
