Portland Or question

I will be in Portland for 1 day (tomorrow) with most the day to kill. What 1 day hike close to Portland should I do? As a boater I would prefer a hike with flowing water.

Thanks for the help. Also, I am not familiar with the area so the more info on its location the better.

I second Eagle Creek! About 35 minutes from the airport- and it is absolutely EPIC! Plus, you get to scout some waterfalls along the way! Just take the Eagle Creek exit off of Interstate 84 east bound out of Portland- its just past the Bonneville Dam exit, which you can't miss!

Take the old highway out the Columbia Gorge through Corbett, past Vista House and then hike up to the top of Multnomah Falls finish at the Hatchery at Bonneville Dam.

Third on Eagle Creek. Also check out the strugeon at Bonneville Hatchery.

If you are willing to do a little more driving, Silver Falls State Park east of Salem has lots of good hiking, waterfalls and not many people. A spring drive through the Willamette valley is beautiful.
