Playboating

I have a 2012 Jackson Rockstar small, and it is a tiny bit too small. I don't have enough foot space to push off for loops and other aerial tricks. The medium would be much to big for me. I'm 5ft 9 and 155 pounds. I want to stay in the Rockstar series. So does anyone know if the new 2014 rock stars have any more leg space?

Eat a couple more cheeseburgers, drink a couple more beers. Medium should fit you fine then.

yup, more cheeseburgers and beer. Also try adding in a set of sweet cheeks and happy feet. That should make the Med. rockstar fit just fine. The 2014 rockstars come stock with both.

Perhaps you should try demoing the Rockstar M again. At your size it might be **slightly** to big, but I doubt it. I am 5'10 and ~160 lbs (maybe 165 some days). I paddle the M and would not want to be in a smaller boat. Conversely, I would argue that the Rockstar M is much MORE than "slightly" too small for both your height and weight.

What makes you say that the M is too big?

The M is too big because with that much more volume it makes it a lot harder to throw tricks and it's just a lot clunkier.

A. Right volume
B. Right comfort
C. Rockstar

Pick two of the above

Are you already doing air loops and aerial tricks? Is there a world championship on the line? Going from a 50+ gal to a 60+ gal boat shouldn't be that detrimental when your weight range is good for both boats. Going from say your Rockstar S to my MonStar then there is a difference. Lol. If you are still learning, go to the M and properly outfit it to your body. You will be waaaay happier as you get older and put on the inevitable few extra pounds.
