PFD for 2 year old

I was wondering if anyone knew of a reasonably priced pfd for a 2 year old, or maybe someone in the denver area has one I could borrow on Thursday. I would definitely be willing to trade a 12 pack to use it for a day. Thanks!

Get an inexpensive Stearns PFD with the flotation collar and crotch strap. Use it anytime your toddler is near the water....unless you never plan to have your kiddo anywhere near water again? (or are you borrowing for a friend/family member?)

Get watersports-specific PFD's at or after early childhood.

Thanks for the replies, Chet's is in the mountains so that's a no-go. I guess I'll just go with the Stearns.

Thanks for the offer summitsurfer, but Breck is a little out of the way and I think I'll end up buying one.

If you've got your toddler on/in/around the water all the time--which, let's face it, you will, you're a boater--buying is the way to go.

There's nothing fancy about the Stearns ones, but you're looking for safety, not high performance. They are a lot more comfortable than the crappy old orange Type II "compliance" life jackets I had to wear as a kid!! If my kiddos were able to nap in theirs, it tells me they were comfortable enough.

Floaty swimsuits are great for pool time when you are teaching them to swim--way better than water wings.

Kid PFD

Both my kids have the Stohlquist PFD's and they love them. We love them too, fit is great and the design works great for them.

Stearns are good too. They are made in Canada and are CAN Coast Guard Approved.

Stohlquist are US Coast Guard Approved.

Not, sure if it makes any difference. Buy, Stohlquist is much easier to find in Colorado and you can buy them locally. REI might sell Stearns, noy sure what whitewater stores sell Stearns (but, you should be able to find them online- just won't be able to check them out before you buy and will have to soley rely on what others tell you over the net.)

That is exactly what I figured. I also have a three month old that can use it when my two year old grows out of it, so buying makes sense. This is going to be his first trip, he can already swim and dive (well, bellyflop) off the diving board by himself. He's been in swim lessons since he was six months old and is a little fish, no fear of the water!

I just wish I knew whether to go right or left on the pumphouse with a baby aboard
