Paddler from Ontario Looking for info

Hey Guys,

I am going to be arriving in Denver on June 20th specifically to come and paddle. I need to rent all the gear and also hire a guide. I am a solid class 4 paddler and intermediate playboater.

Any info would be great.

Alison

I'd be glad to point you in the right direction and swap stories of the north country, you must obtain a book called Colorado Rivers and Creeks first. I have been looking for a river book for ontario but have had no luck.

The Ottawa River Whitewater book is pretty good (awesome for just the ottawa, great detail for every rapid and wave), but also has good descriptions of many of the popular runs in Ontario. http://www.ottawariverguide.com/

I didn't start boating until 98 when I left northern ontario for the american west, but I end up back home from time to time, and I get the itch to paddle. Flat water is like paddling up hill! So I am looking for information on Northern Ontario Rivers like the Spanish, Serpent, and the Vermilion. I have found one site local to my home town at http://www.canoeclub.sudbury.on.ca/ but it doesn't contain much beta.
