Paddle Wednesday, 2/4

Hey kids -

Short notice, I know, but it's going to be beautiful tomorrow and I don't have to work.
I'd paddle the Parkdale section (decent play at this water level), Brown's Canyon (a bit bony but doable and very pretty this time of year) or do laps from the top of Pine Creek rapid to the Numbers stealth put-in.
Anybody interested?

-Mike

How's the snow on the banks of PC stealth putin? I've been there much later in the year when it's been paddleable but not accessable from there.

Hmm - Good question.
I did Brown's a couple weeks ago and there was no snow, but obviously that doesn't really tell us what it looks like at the Numbers and PC.

Anybody have a visual north of BV recently?

I can't imagine not being able to get to the river at Pine Creek, but that hill at the Numbers stealth put-in might be a different story.

I drove by on Sunday. Pine Creek looked good to go though I don't know about the take out. Didn't get a good look at the Numbers except it looked like 1 1/2 - 2 had a lot of ice.

Thanks, Mike -

Remember, Ice/snow are only a concern for the PC/#s option.
If you want to boat but don't want to deal with ice/snow, let's run Brown's or Parkdale ...

If you do Pine Creek, watch out there is still a lot of ice in the river. Unfortunately I have the bruises to prove it. Also if you go, keep an eye out for my green Sherpa with NRS mamba pogies on it for me, though it might be under some ice sheets somewhere. Unfortunately I had a bad time there on Saturday. I did get an excuse to get that new paddle I wanted though...

Jeez, dude.
We're actually doing Brown's.
Be careful out there.

Hope you have a good time today. Unfortunately I'm out for this weekend, just had my wisdom teeth removed about an hour ago, and want to keep my mouth clean for the next week or so as I don't want a dry socket or anything like that.
