In 2011 musician Zac Crouse paddled from Beachburg, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia. On his trip he paddled his sea kayak through the whitewater of the Ottawa, populated stretches of the Saint Lawrence, bike portaged over the Gaspe Bay Peninsula, and tackled the highest tides in the world on the Bay of Fundy. He did the majority of the trip by himself as a form of recreational therapy to cope with the death of his close friend, who died while they were paddling together.
Zac and I documented his journey and have been piecing it together in a documentary called Paddle to the Ocean as a way to remember our friend and expose others to the mental and physical benefits of recreation. The film is set to release May 14th and is now available for pre-order. Packaged with the DVD will be a copy of the soundtrack which has been written and performed by Zac and other talented Halifax based musicians.

You'll notice that we've set up pre-orders through an indiegogo campaign in an effort to reduce our final production costs. This project has been funded out of our own pockets so if you'd like to contribute we'd be very appreciative and have set up a number of incentives that we hope will appeal to different peoples needs.
