Paddle size

I'm going to pick up a new bent shaft, Werner suggests 197, AT suggests 200. Right now I have a straight shaft that is about 202.

I'm about 6', 185-190lbs. Paddle mostly river with a little creek, not much play.

So my question, pros/cons? Will I even notice a difference? I'm leaning towards the AT4 at this point, just need to decide size.

I would try each paddle out. I am 6' 3" and used to paddle with and ATX 197cm and switched to a 200cm ATX this year and really like the difference. It can be a little weird at first, but I definitely have more power and deeper strokes now. I paddle creeks and bigger water and especially like the 200cm in the bigger water. With that said I have a back up AT4 that is 200cm and it's not as long as the ATX 200cm. My friend has a Werner powerhouse 197cm that is the same length as my 200 cm ATX, so go figure. I would demo, but try going with a longer paddle for a bit and you might really like it once you get used to it. Paddle what feels good.
