Paddle Fest 2014- May 23-26th

MISSION - CKS PaddleFest | May 23-26 2014

Please join us in Buena Vista to celebrate the beginning of another amazing summer season of paddling. PaddleFest is a very unique event that offers something for everyone. Hope to see you there.

PaddleFest is the interactive and hands on experience of the year to prepare you and your family for the next on water adventure. The event draws thousands of newbies and enthusiasts from around the region to learn, share, watch and celebrate what paddling has to offer. The multiple location venues include a flat-water demo center, on water education, river competitions, multi-sport races, free demos, and several other non-paddling and family oriented events centered on “all ages” participation.

Hi there. To register is FREE. If you gear sells, you have an options of 100% back as a gift card or 70% back as cash. See details below.

If your items sell, choose between an in-store credit that never expires for the full sale price of your item, or choose the cash back option. The cash back option gives you cash (70% of the sale price of your item) when your item sells (CKS keeps a 30% commission).
Don’t want to wait to see if your items sell? Take advantage of our trade-in program. You can trade in your kayak or SUP board for instant CKS store credit to shop with over the weekend, online or save the credit for future purchases.
SWAP Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Early Bird Drop Off Hours – FRIDAY from 2:00PM – 7:00PM – Drop your sale items off in advance!
Click here to download swap / sale registration form. Please have it filled out BEFORE you arrive.

Saturday and Sunday only: 9am-5 pm

Any Boat Swap questions, please call CKS at 719-395-9206. Any Bike Swap questions, please call Boneshakers at 719- 966-5075
We will be accepting items for the swap starting 8:30am on Saturday.
All unsold items must be picked up no later than 5:00pm Sunday – No Exceptions.

Thanks Earl!

I have a feeling this year's Paddlefest is going to be the best yet.

Weather forecast is sounding pretty good for the weekend now:

"20 to 30 May, 2014 - Mid and late next week we could see a shot of showers and potential higher elevation snow as low pressure (that developed across the northwest US) spreads through the west. This round of low pressure may not be as strong, and thus lighter showers are more likely. It may track south and be a 4 corners low situation, bringing showers to the front range mid and late next week as well as to the mountains. Thunderstorms are likely also. We may see stronger and longer lasting high pressure ridging build in across the west after this low meanders through and away (heat wave starting possibly around the 24th and lasting for a week+). "

Here's the flyer for the disc golf tournament if anyone is interested in that:
