Numbers in a 15-foot bucket boat at 2,550...

Bottom line...it's tough to do. We made it through 6 rapids before the river sunk my raft, literally - we couldn't bail fast enough. Makes for a thrilling ride and requires loads of work from the paddlers. I wouldn't do it again though.

i recall back in 96 or 7 some dudes from albuquerque ran pine creek in a bucket boat at 4 feet (they planned to pull out above the rapid but couldn't). it was the only thing that kept them from flipping. not my cup of tea tho.

my buddies jsut brought a maravia bucket boat from narr in in wv. can't wait to get enough flexcoat on it that it will hold air and take it down the v's on clear creek. should punch mr. bill just fine...
