North Umpqua

Even with record low snow/rain fall in Oregon. This little Gem of a run is still going strong. Gotta love the PNW.

It is a great trip! We were down for an OWA/ NWRA event in May and I got to IK it from the upper put in (Boulder?) to gravel bin. It was a blast, looking forward to hitting it again, maybe with some more cfs. Pinball was interesting, I could only imagine it with a few thousand more cfs. Great video!

There was a guy in an IK in front of me, he warned me all day not to Alligator, he went headlong in it and he swam. I hit the eddy on the left and he swam Pinball while I chased his boat through, lol.

Love those runs! Does anyone know the release schedule? Planning to bike the trail and more of the triangle trials later in sept. I guess we should bring boats and gear anyway cause we are going to the coast with sups. But what abt bugs, will they be gone by then! Thanks!

Oh, if the kings are running, go to the base of the tokiti dam. Gives u an idea of what the "walk across the river on their backs" legends would look like! Awsome!

Bring your boat. They cant let the river drop bellow 700 cfs. So its always good to go.

Up toward Crater Lake they can get bad. Bellow Toketee Falls its not so bad. We always just bring 4 or 5 Tiki torches with the citronella oil. Seems to work pretty well around camp.
