Looking to head out of town for some boating starting this Friday for a few days of paddling and wondered if anyone knows if the NF of the Payette is stil running?

Thanks

Still going. There's lots of guages (just google)
Looks like it's at 1600-something. Cabarton flow is the same one you should look for. Anything above 1500 is worth traveling for.

this is a quote from "ted day" off of Kayak Idaho

"the NF will be running at 1400 over the weekend, and should be in the 1400 to 1600 range beginning next week. Then it follows irrigation demand, dropping to around 1000 typically by mid Sept or slightly later. Down to 600 to 800 by end of Sept."

FYI: There is a fire raging along Highway 55 between Horseshoe Bend and Banks. As of this morning, 55 was closed along that stretch. Keep an eye on the ITD website for more info.

A possible work around, since you're coming from the east is to head up to Stanley and down to Banks through Lowman, I don't think that road is closed.
