No more trains in the Royal Gorge

I don't know if it's 100% for sure, but this article says the new owner will likely dismantle and sell it:

Last run set for Royal Gorge Scenic Railway - The Denver Post

Better for scouting/portaging/providing safety, but it will take away one of the more unique things about that run...

Honestly, that's one reason I don't like to paddle down there... I feel like a spectacle to the hoards of tourists. Makes it too much like an amusement park.

The article is about the amusement park ride up on the rim and not the standard gage train at river level.

Correct, and the new owner of the train ride property up top is one of the Koch Brothers.
