Nile First Descent Expedition

FYI -- Pasquale Scaturro geophysicist and adventurist extraordinare, will speak on leading the first expedition down the Blue Nile from source to sink. Perhaps you have seen the IMAX film of this expedition.

It will be held at Berthoud Hall Rm. 108 at the Colorado School of Mines at 4:00 pm tommorrow (Thursday Nov. 17th).

For more info call 303-273-3450 or go to:
http://www.mines.edu/academic/geophy...5.htm#Scaturro

PS. This lecture is Buzz friendly which includes hair-dogs, groms, wanna-be boaters, swimmers, tubers and oh-yeah, the total newbies.....come one come all. Did I leave any out????? It's so hard to keep up.

w-lightnin:
Grom- Short for Grommet....def- derogotory term for a young aspiring boater without a clue who is mostly responsible for his own carnage...aka tool. Spawned from the loins of Crom in a land known as LochGnarr.

pbiz:
He has recently co-authored a book with Richard Bangs, Mystery of the Nile, published by Penguin Books which chronicles the expedition.
